Your outdoor workforce deserves
a real heat safety system.
A complete, NIOSH-aligned, regionally calibrated heat safety toolkit for local governments, municipalities, and private employers with outdoor workers. Implementation-ready. OSHA-defensible.
⚠ The liability problem
OSHA’s General Duty Clause holds employers responsible for protecting outdoor workers from recognized heat hazards. A fatality or serious injury without documented prevention protocols exposes your organization to citations, fines, and litigation.
📋 The compliance gap
OSHA provides guidance — but not implementation. Most employers have no written heat SOP, no supervisor training, no acclimatization protocol, and no region-specific action thresholds. That gap is exactly where CWPS fits.
🌡 The regional reality
Generic national heat guidelines don’t account for your region’s specific heat season length, humidity profiles, or local heat index thresholds. Your workforce protection plan must reflect where your people actually work.
Find your zone. Get the right toolkit.
CWPS is calibrated to the climate conditions, heat season length, and regulatory context of each U.S. region.

What OSHA’s General Duty Clause Requires
Under OSHA’s General Duty Clause §5(a)(1), employers must provide a workplace free from recognized serious hazards — including extreme heat. This means written programs, supervisor training, acclimatization protocols, access to water and shade, and emergency response procedures.
All CWPS content is aligned with NIOSH Criteria Document 2016-106 (Occupational Exposure to Heat and Hot Environments) — the primary federal reference standard for occupational heat safety programs in the United States.
Built by a practitioner. Grounded in science.
CWPS was developed from a doctoral-level applied practice project completed for Miami-Dade County government. Every claim is traceable to a primary source — NIOSH, OSHA, CDC, NWS, & peer-reviewed literature.
